Ah yes… June is the month for weddings and a celebration of Father’s Day. For all the moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas who read The Gazette; perhaps you are looking forward to seeing a daughter or son, granddaughter or grandson walk down the aisle this month.

But here is a different twist to the wedding story! What if it was the mom and dad of 10, and the grandma and grandpa of 15 (and one great grandchild too), who were instead walking down that wedding aisle?

Let us introduce to you Marlene and Harry Durkin. After 101 combined years of previous marriage (to their beloved late spouses), and a collective age of 167 years, Marlene and Harry were joined in holy matrimony just a couple of short months ago.

This is a story of love, respect, and the circle of life’s joys and renewal.
