Florida’s first Life Plan Community GREEN HOUSE® Project opened with a gala celebration in Pompano Beach on May 26. Officials with The Woodlands at John Knox Village treated more than 500 guests to a marching band, high school choral group, a gospel ensemble, lunch and tours of the spectacular new building.

In his presentation to guests and residents, John Knox Village President & CEO Gerry Stryker said that the ribbon-cutting event brought to fruition the years of research, planning and construction.

“This is an incredibly emotional and fulfilling time for John Knox Village,” Gerry said. “Today we celebrate the culmination of our vision – to change the face of elder care and rehabilitation services in South Florida.
