Gazette – August 2017 – Top Dogs in The White House

One of the most important roles in the world is that of President of the
United States. It’s a job filled with such serious responsibilities, that you might
not think presidents could be fun loving pet owners. In fact, almost every U.S. president has owned a pet of some kind. The most common have been dogs, but a zoolike variety of animals have lived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue through the decades. Some pets provided companionship to the president and his family, while others gained fame for a role in history and shaping the president’s image.
