Formal Agreement To Be Announced Friday
POMPANO BEACH, FL – 10/31/2016 – With an ambitious goal of changing the way people look at aging, two long-time Broward County organizations have formed a partnership.
John Knox Village and Impact Broward have begun an innovative new collaboration of volunteerism and thought leadership. The two groups will harness the expertise of adults over age 55 to identify ways this critical population continues to thrive, innovate, and contribute to our community.
Impact Broward, through its long-term volunteerism, helps children with school readiness, struggling veterans succeed, in-need adults thrive, and Broward nonprofits innovate.
The partnership will be formally announced during Impact Broward’s 2016 Community Impact Awards Luncheon, Friday, Nov. 4 starting at 11:15 a.m. at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale-Plantation Hotel, 1230 S. Pine Island Rd., Plantation 33324.
Under its inaugural Impact Business program, Impact Broward will be the exclusive provider of volunteer opportunities to John Knox Village residents seeking to give back to the community and satisfy important elements of their wellness.
John Knox Village is a continuing care life plan retirement community filled with residents eager to volunteer their time and talents. In fact, well more than half of JKV’s 900 folks give of themselves not only within their Pompano Beach campus, but in the greater community as well.
